Recipes Meet Movie Nights
Browse films and series built around food, cook from your own recipe library, and pair every dish with what you watched while you made it.
Films & Series About Food
Browse a catalogue built entirely around food and cooking — feature films with a kitchen at the centre, documentaries about chefs and producers, competition and cooking series, pastry and baking shows. Laid out as a menu rather than an endless grid: Amuse-Bouche for short documentaries, The Main for feature films, The Pass for kitchen series, Sweet for baking. Every title carries a line explaining why it belongs there — and, when it matches something in your library, which of your dishes it goes with.
Search Movies and TV Series
Search the full film and television catalogue by title, not just the food selection. Filter results to films only, series only, or both together, with year, running time or season count shown at a glance.
Details for Every Title
Open any film or series for its synopsis, release year, runtime, genres, country, and cast. Series show their season breakdown; films show their full running time. Tap the trailer button to watch the official trailer, played through the official YouTube player.
Discover Dishes to Cook
Browse a dish catalogue by cuisine — British, Spanish, Turkish, Chinese, Jamaican and more. Open any dish for its method and its full ingredient list with quantities, and tap any ingredient for a page of its own. Search covers both the catalogue and your own recipes at once, so one search finds the dish whether you wrote it down or not.
Your Recipe Library
Write down full recipes — ingredients, quantities, preparation steps, and cooking methods. Mark the ones you return to, and edit them whenever a dish changes.
Shopping Lists by Dish
Pick the dishes you intend to cook and the app builds the list for you. Duplicate ingredients across dishes are added together, so you buy six onions once instead of two three times — and every merged line shows where each amount came from. Tick items off as you shop, or send the list to whoever is going.
Step Timers That Follow the Cooking
Give each step its own duration and let the countdown carry you through them in order. The next step starts when the last one is done, and total time is worked out from the steps, so you can see what time you will be eating and plan backwards from it.
While It Simmers
A long braise leaves you with forty minutes and nothing to do. When a cooking step is long enough, the app offers a film sized to the wait — one that finishes before the timer does — with its trailer a tap away, so the waiting becomes part of the cooking.
Table Notes
When you finish cooking, pair the dish with whatever you watched — the film suggested during the cook, or any other title you look up — and write down how it went. Those pairings build into a record of your own evenings: what you made, what was on, what you'd change next time. It starts empty and fills up with your cooking, not ours.
